I have used River City Doors twice in the past 12 months, the first time to help install a Smart Garage Door opener (retrofit on an old garage door) so I can use Alexa to open my garage door when I can't find the remote. The second time, a garage door was jamming when being operated, they adjusted the railings and sorted it. My experience both times has been first class. Professional staff answer the phone, no wait times, within 3 minutes the booking on the phone was done, I was informed of progress along the way, and both times the tech arrived and completed the job within the time frame advised when making the booking. All in all, no complaints, and you should definitely give them a call.

I recently had a shonky company (unknown to me at the time) install an automatic garage door opener. The garage is a "cave" type garage i.e. there is no other entrance to the garage other than through the garage door itself. After the garage door opener was installed I asked what would happen if the mechanism failed - how would I get into the garage or how would I get my car out. They then installed an emergency release mechanism - again done very poorly. It was clear that they had never installed such a mechanism before. Fortunately I was able to get them to remove both the automatic door opener and the emergency release mechanism and get a full refund. I then, by a recommendation, contacted River City Doors. Jonty, their technician, reviewed the situation initially and gave me a cheaper quote (than the shonky installers) to install a new automatic garage opener and emergency release mechanism. He returned to do the job which was done very professionally and with a solid knowledge and understanding of Tilt garage doors and how to do the work. The result is a perfectly functioning automatic garage door opener and peace of mind should, in the unlikely event, this fail at some time in the future. The administration staff that I communicated with were also very polite, pleasant and efficient. I highly recommend this company.

The visit to assess and advise, the 3 quote options sent so promptly was impressive. I took Joni's advice and went for the remote/phone controllable opener with best motor ( ATA ) and it is so so quite and the software app works a dream ! - std controllers provided also - could not be happier as 3 bus days from order placed to installed. 10/10

Trying to be a weekend warrior I had everything done and ready to put back together until I didn’t , WIZZ BANG SPLAT ! My roller door was on the floor & of course it was Sunday. Gave River City Doors a call and in no time at all, Tim was at my service. Looking at the mess I’d created, Tim had a bit of a head scratch and told me what needed to happen to get the garage secure but not functional. After we got it back into position Tim wasn’t happy so he went above and beyond and to my surprise got the door fully functional and better than before. My only criticism of Tim is that there isn’t two of him. Top bloke, great company !
